First off, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read this article. Each and every one of you are truly appreciated. After a year hiatus from Stick Slinger TV, I wanted to give a brief and honest update on why that leave of absence took place.
In late August of 2017, I was approached by a group of hunters from the midwest, with what seemed to be an opportunity that could not be passed up. I was to join their show as a co-host. I filmed almost all of last year and put together a substantial amount of footage to create many episodes that viewers would have loved. The group fell apart due to the leader and a few team members not agreeing on simple ideas that any civil group would have worked out. Seeing the true colors of these guys though, made me realize that I could accomplish my mission of sharing my passion for bowhunting much more efficiently by returning to Stick Slinger TV and doing things the right way. Unfortunately, I could only keep the rights to about 25% of my footage. The only good side to this is that within that 25% I have a great hunt that will be in my mind for the rest of my life based on what took place that evening and the learning experiences form taking that doe and I am ecstatic to share that with all of you as soon as possible! As I type this, I start my mission of showing that hunting can be more fun than ever when doing it on a budget and that new gear is far from being necessary. The start to this fun chapter is bidding on a bow and trying to find something totally setup for under $200 and I will be doing this with every piece of gear I use this year. It will be a blast doing this, saving money, and showing you hard working men and women how I go about getting everything! The most exciting part of all of this however, has nothing to do with hunting, bows, or deer at all. It's the fact that in mid-november, my first son will be in my arms. This is such a blessing and I'm happy to take you all on my journey this fall as I try to get a deer on the ground before that time, all while holding a full time job and using extremely budget friendly equipment. My girlfriend and I both will be in the woods this fall up until that point, and maybe even some more in the late season depending on the circumstances. Thank you all for your never-ending, loyal support to Stick Slinger TV. Stay tuned for more exciting updates to come!
